In Saxophonist Motus, I was interested in capturing the vibration of the gesture, the sway of the body accompanying the sound. Each stroke follows the movement of the instrument, like a trail of music that is also displacement and heartbeat. The drawing does not seek to freeze the moment: it allows the figure to breathe, stretch, and repeat.
