Quien soy
Bio
I was born in Salamanca in 1973 and trained as a stonemason, sculptor, and stone restorer before studying Art History. I later moved to Berlin, where I have lived since 2006 and developed most of my artistic career.
My work combines the solidity of classical drawing with the freedom of contemporary experimentation. I paint with oil, acrylic, pastel, ink, and digital media, and I use a range of supports: canvas, paper, wood panel, and honeycomb cardboard. I am interested in the life that remains in objects and gestures, both in large formats and in more intimate studies.
In my paintings, an everyday object can hold the same dignity as a human figure. I am driven by the need to paint, not by the pursuit of perfection: I prefer a line that breathes rather than one that confines.
I have exhibited in Spain, Germany, and Myanmar, and I continue to research, explore, and experiment. Music — from punk to classical — accompanies me in the studio and helps me enter the rhythm of each work.
This gallery is my space of freedom: a place where I share painting without intermediaries. If something speaks to you, moves you, or accompanies you, you are invited to explore it at your own pace.
